Terms and Conditions
We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to apply to enrol in our Pay When You Are Successful Programme.
The Programme is principally for people who are unable to afford to pay for Approved Courses up front. If you are eligible and you complete the Approved Course you only have to pay for it if you successfully find a job. The Programme removes the risk of you taking out loans to pay for the Approved Course.
Here are the Key Terms associated with the Programme:
1. Eligibility: You Must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the programme:
a. You are a New Zealand resident or citizen.
b. You are either;
– Unemployed or;
– if you are employed, you are underemployed (not in positions that align with your potential, education and expertise)
c. You meet the Mission Ready entry criteria.
d. You are accepted into an Approved Course.
2. Assessment of eligibility: Determination of your eligibility to enrol in the Programme under clause 1 and your continuing eligibility under clause 3 is entirely at our discretion. All information you provide to us must be true and complete in all material respects. We may request further information from you to assess your eligibility and you must provide such information before we confirm your enrolment in the Programme. If you do not meet the eligibility requirements we reserve the right to allow you entry, at our sole and absolute discretion, into the Programme.
3. Acceptance: We will review your application and notify you by email of your acceptance and enrolment in the Programme. We use reasonable endeavours to review all applications within 10 Working Days of receipt of all information that we require.
4. Continuing eligibility: Upon enrolment in the Programme you must continue to meet the following criteria:
a. Pass and complete the Approved Course.
b. Comply with the Code of Conduct of Mission Ready.
c. Maintain the required performance for each mission assigned during the Approved Course as well as receiving final certification for the Approved Course.
d. Upon passing and completing the Approved Course you must complete the Mission Ready Careers Support.
e. During the Mission Ready Careers Support you must engage with the career coach and take all steps to follow the guidance of the career coach.
f. During the Mission Ready Careers Support you must report to your career coach with details of:
i. the stage of the employment process you are in;
ii. the jobs you have applied for;
iii. any job offers or leads that you receive;
iv. any work that you complete in exchange for compensation (for example contract work);
v. any work that you complete towards or as part of a business venture, not-for-profit or charity; and
vi. if and when you Secure a Job in Tech.
5. Failure to maintain eligibility: If you fail to meet the criteria required under clause 3 above at any time after your enrolment in the Programme and before the end of the Mission Ready Careers Support you must pay the full Programme Fee immediately.
6. Success finding a job: If you Secure a Job in Tech at any time after your enrolment in the Programme and before the end of the Mission Ready Careers Support then you must pay the Programme Fee in accordance with the Payment Plan.
7. Payment: If you are required to pay the Programme Fee or part of the Programme Fee under clauses 5 or 6 we will send to your email address an invoice for the Programme Fee or part of the Programme Fee that is due. You must pay invoices within 7 Working Days of us sending them to you. You must not set-off, withhold or deduct from or against any payment due to us.
8. No fee: If you meet the eligibility criteria throughout the duration of the Programme and you successfully complete the Programme and you do not Secure a Job in Tech then you will not pay the Programme Fee.
9. Programme administration fee: The fee payable in respect of the Programme is 15% more than the fee you would pay for the Approved Course if you were to pay upfront or in instalments during the Approved Course. This additional amount payable under the Programme is to cover our costs in providing the Programme to you.
10. Email for notices: The email address noted in the specific details table of this form is your address for notices, communications and invoices under these Key Terms. When we send invoices or notices to your email address they will be deemed to be given to you. You will need to monitor your inbox to ensure that you receive communications from us.
11. Change of address: You must promptly notify us in writing if your email address changes from the address you have provided. Until you notify us all notices, communications and invoices will continue to be sent to your last known email address.
12. Key Terms: These Key Terms include the provisions of the Terms and Conditions and the Mission Ready Learner and Admission Policy. Both these documents are available online for you to read before signing these Key Terms. When you agree to these Key Terms you are also confirming that you have read the Terms and Conditions and the Mission Ready Learner and Admission Policy and that you agree to them. These documents are all taken as complimentary and mutually explanatory of one another, but where any conflict or inconsistency exists between any of the documents the provisions of these Key Terms will take precedence to the extent of the conflict or inconsistency.
13. Warranty: You warrant that there are no impediments to your ability to complete the Programme. Should any impediment, problems or concerns arise before or during the Programme, you must contact the Mission Ready Programme Director without delay for guidance.
14. Indemnity: In signing these Key Terms you agree to indemnify us against any loss we might suffer resulting from a breach of these Key Terms.
15. Cooling off: After signing these Key Terms you may withdraw your application to enrol in the Programme at any time until the first day of the Approved Course. You may withdraw from the Programme within 7 days from the first day of the Approved Course as per our refund policy. If you withdraw under these circumstances we will not charge you the Programme Fee.
16. Severability: If any provision of these Key Terms are found by a court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable, that provision will be deemed to be deleted from the Key Terms and the remaining provisions of the Key Terms will continue in full force and effect.
17. Electronic signing: You may sign these Key Terms by way of the application of your electronic signature in accordance with Part 4 of the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017.
18. Definitions: In these Key Terms words have the following specific meanings:
– Start a Job in Tech means the earliest date that you:
a. Start employment in the technology industry;
b. Start employment undertaking a technology focused role in any industry;
c. Commence providing services for compensation in the technology industry;
d. Commence providing services concerning technology for compensation in any industry; and
e. Commence entrepreneurial work that is intended to be used or is used in a revenue generating venture in which you hold or receive a financial interest.
– Terms and Conditions means our terms and conditions which can be found at www.missionreadyhq.com/terms/.
– We, our and us means Mission Ready.
– Working day means a day of the week other than:
a. a Saturday, a Sunday, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, the Sovereign’s birthday, Te Rā Aro ki a Matariki/Matariki Observance Day, and Labour Day; and
b. if Waitangi Day or Anzac Day falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the following Monday; and
c. if 1 January falls on a Friday, the following Monday; and
d. if 1 January falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, the following Monday and Tuesday.
